GET READY FOR THE REAL WORLD
The Business Pathway gives students the opportunity to learn professionalism in the workplace as well as the skills necessary to be successful in a college- or university-level business program.
Students who complete the program are job-ready and immediately employable in an office setting, or they can head off to business school and prepare for a future in upper management.
EXPLORE NFTE AND FBLA OPPORTUNITIES
To take their business education even further, students can enroll in a NFTE (National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship) marketing and entrepreneurship course.
Here, they learn how to create a business plan and then defend that plan in local high school competitions.
Many Business Pathway students also participate in FBLA, or Future Business Leaders of America.
This gives them another way to develop marketable career skills, meet local business leaders and get prepared for the workforce.
DISCOVER THE RULES OF BUSINESS
Freshmen business students study business technology while sophomores learn business marketing.
Our ROP classes—Small Business Management/NFTE and Careers in Sales and Marketing—are open to all juniors and seniors in Fresno Unified School District.
ROP students get certification and Small Business Management students get Unitrack credit at California State University, Fresno. Juniors and seniors are also able to go off-campus for internships and on-the-job training.
START YOUR JOURNEY
The goal is to have 100% of our Business Pathway students ready to attend a four-year college or business school upon completion of the program.
